d.d. collective is a Malaysia based high street label acting as a contemporary offering to mother-label, Ms Read. With multiple physical and digital outlets across South East Asia, Forward Collective assisted the brand in its pivotal re-branding from ‘Dude and the Duchess’. During the project, responsibilities with d.d collective included:
(a) Development of local and international wholesale market strategy, including increasing brand equity, value perception, and sales amongst target market.
(b) Analysis, strategising, co-ordination, and execution of operational improvements across front-line retail, product development, merchandising and marketing.
(c) Financial tracking, goal establishment and health of the company.
(d) Management and training of team of eight within headquarters, whilst reporting directly to the director. Communications were conducted cross-country in most situations. With achievements including:
• Achieved record sales, month to month, starting December 2015 until June 2016, with the highest gross sales reach 48% above company’s 8 year historic performance. This was made possible through operational improvements across both product, merchandising, and marketing departments.
• Increased gross operating margin by 48% across the first half of 2016.
• Developed new promotional/discount merchandising systems to assist in maximization of net margins of goods sold, which in turn decreased inventory by 40% in a short time frame to reach optimal stock holding levels.
• Planned and implemented new website, and encouraged activations via customized UX. Subsequent achievement 165% of target web sales for following month.
• Redevelopment of digital strategy across social media, web and EDM platforms, including U.I, UXD, content planning and ROI tracking.
• Achieved wholesale performance by 500% within first season at the firm, through partnership selection and development.”
